The GREAT SOUTHERN RAILWAY
March, 2001

Still in the works at the Great Southern Railway site.
Daves total layout is about 400' with mostly sunset valley
code 250 aluminum rail. Turnouts are SVRR nickle-brass,
powered by LGB machines. Train operation will be Aristo Craft
Train Master and Bridgewerks 15amp power supply.
This is the first phase of the railroad and with any luck and
good weather, Dave hopes to have a Central Division meet
out at his Great Southern Railway site.

  Nice Job !

Shows how train gets In & Out of the Shop Building.
The bricks will be replaced with a trestle in the near future.

One of the passing tracks. In the distance, you can see a wooden post
with a shelf. This is one of the "Outdoor Control" stands

Dave's first attempt at scratch building in G scale.
A three span thru girder bridge made from one piece of

steel channel 7" wide, 3" web, 67" long.
The detail pieces are ABS plastic shapes cut to size and
put on with two part epoxy. The lettering is custom decals.
