When I was growing up, my grandfather took me with him
to meet a friend of his who worked on the B&M (Boston & Maine)
railroad. He brought me on board the NW2 also known as a "Cow"
engine. Mainly, they were used for short hauls or for switchyards.

I have always had a thing for trains growing up and had a dream
of becoming an engineer one day.  Well, that never amounted to
anything but since today was my 42nd birthday, I wanted to do
something a little different. Well, I got to do something I had always
wondered about but never followed through on. Today was the day!
I was able to start, drive and switch a GP-7 locomotive.
