July 2001 Members Tour

July 22, 2001

Dennis & Kathy Johnston
The JOHNSTON's hosted the July meet in Tampa, Florida.
Their newly constructed layout named the "Keystone Yards"
was built indoors.  Dennis wanted more room and Kathy gave
in a they both decided on the Garage.  The three car carage
layout was built at a level to be operational for other items
such as wheel barrel, lawn mower, pool equipment, etc.  The
layout is at a 42" height and is 16' by 14'.  The key feature
at the Keystone Yards was the operational "Turn Table" for
shuttling engines from main line to the engine round house.
Another nice feature was that Dennis uses all "Air Swicthed"
switch tracks.  A very nice design for all to enjoy.
