Florida Garden Railway Society's

June 2002 Members Tour

June 9, 2002

Jim & Linda HOPES
The HOPES hosted the June meet for the Tampa Bay Division.
Jim & Linda's Railroad was built around what limited space  they had to
work with in their Garden. Given the urban setting, their railroad winds
its way through the courtyard in the back of the house, and continues
through the side yard as well as traversing walkways and steering
around natural barriers.

The line features 220' of track, about 180' of that is a single-track
mainline. Their layout features many structures both scratch built and
weathered by Jim with the help from his cousin Kipp.

It was a nice day for the running of the trains.
There was 40+ members in attendance as well as several new
members and visitors.
