Florida Garden Railway Society's

December 2003 Members Tour

December 14th, 2003
The FOWLER's hosted the December meet for the Central Division.
Jim and Sue's meet had a good turnout of members in attendance for what
turned out to be a day full of rain. Fortunately, it stopped just before the
start of the meet. Sorry that there are not too many pictures of the
trains running due to the rain.

Click on each photo for the Enlarged picture      Enjoy!

The Hosts: JIM & SUE FOWLER
After 2 inches of rain the trains weren't
running. But one could see the Foxburg and
Southern Railroad mainline from
undercover of the second story balcony
In the weeks preceeding the December meet,
Jim Fowler's friend Otto Tonti, organized
work parties to help repair damages from the
heavy summer rains.
Shown here is Darrell Baker joining rail
Otto Tonti tamps fresh sand on an area before
track is laid. This section will be joined to
the mainline at a later time in
Fowler's large backyard
Secretary Kathy Caldwell dresses for the season
Members of the Southwest division enjoy each
others fellowship and good food under the shelter
of the porch at Jim Fowlers between rains

Special Thanks to Ken Fenter
for snapping those shots for me!
