Dec. 2nd saw 15 of Santa’s finest helpers
(from Tampa
Bay
and the Sarasota Club)
gather in the late afternoon to set up a display at the
Florida Botanical Gardens to
open their “Seasonal Sensations” celebration. Don
Odle secured a spot in the center
of the Wedding Chapel area which had a lot of
traffic flowing through it all night.
We started set up at 3:00PM
and everything was up and running well
before the
5:00PM starting
time. We even had a new display added by Don Koeller which
showed off his theme
train celebrating many holidays in the year.
Kids of all ages came by to see the trains and spend time
rekindling memories and
making new ones. Sponge Bob and Thomas were there to
entertain and help create
those memories.

thanks goes to all who helped with set up, running
of trains and talking with the visitors.
If all goes well, we’ll be back next
year with something even better.
