Florida Garden Railway Society's

JANUARY 2007 Members Tour

January 14, 2007

The SEGAL's held the run for the SouthWest Division's January meet.
Rich & Amy had a great turnout for a January gathering.
Rich is an excellent scratch builder of G structures, and the layout is covered with fine
examples of his work.  The narrow gauge railway climbs and winds around nearly 1/4 acre,
crossing many dramatic bridges and passing through several interesting scenes.
Rich uses hypertufa for his grades and embankments.  He embeds the track right into
this specially mixed cement which has the appearance of rough earth.  He did a great
seminar on this technique.
