Florida Garden Railway Society's

JUNE 8th, 2008

Les & Carole held the June meet for the Tampa Bay Division.

WOW! Les Dichter and Carole Jones really put on quite a show at their meet on June 8th.
Nearly 50 FGRS members from Tampa Bay and Central came together for this First-Time meet.
It was quite a drive to their house; but it was well worth it. We had members from Yankeetown,
Leesburg, Lake Alfred, Sarasota and other locales in between spend an enjoyable afternoon
watching multiple trains run throughout this railroading kingdom.
We enjoyed very detailed, scratch-built structures throughout. Remember the Gold Mine?
Trestles, bridges and tunnels were found everywhere and a nice feature was our ability to
get close to all of them for viewing or photographing.

Thanks, once again, to all who brought some goodies to share. The vittles were great!
This continues to be another feature of our meets that everyone seems to enjoy.
