2009 Members Tour
Bruce & Paula JOHNSON hosted the November meet for the Southwest Division.
The meet at the home of Bruce and Paula Johnson in Redlands (Miami) on November 7

was everything we hoped it would be. There was a nice crowd from all over the state,
old friends and new. The trains ran well in spite of occasionally being blown off the tracks
on the new outdoor over-and-under loop surrounding the swimming pool.
The trains looped up and over two impressive bridges spanning parts of the pool.
Luckily, no trains went into the drink. Other than the gusty winds, the weather cooperated,
and the picnic table was a constant gathering place for folks between trips into the huge indoor
layout to watch the trains run inside. The size and quality of this layout has to be seen
to be believed. There are countless scratch-built and artistically rebuilt commercial structures
blended into scenes ranging from the pastoral to industrial, from desert to alpine snow scenes.
